וַיִּשָּׂ֨א דָוִ֜יד אֶת עֵינָ֗יו וַיַּ֙רְא֙ אֶת מַלְאַ֣ךְ יְהוָ֔ה עֹמֵ֗ד בֵּ֤ין הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ וּבֵ֣ין הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם וְחַרְבּ֛וֹ שְׁלוּפָ֥ה בְיָד֖וֹ נְטוּיָ֣ה עַל יְרוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם וַיִּפֹּ֥ל דָּוִ֛יד וְהַזְּקֵנִ֖ים מְכֻסִּ֥ים בַּשַּׂקִּ֖ים עַ֥ל פְּנֵיהֶֽם׃
And David lifted up his eyes, and saw the angel of the LORD stand between the earth and the heaven, having a drawn sword in his hand stretched out over Jerusalem. Then David and the elders of Israel, who were clothed in sackcloth, fell upon their faces.
David alzó los ojos y vio al ángel del SEÑOR parado entre el cielo y la tierra, con su espada desenvainada extendida sobre Jerusalén. Entonces David y los ancianos, cubiertos de cilicio, se postraron sobre sus rostros.
