וַיֹּ֤אמֶר שַׂר הַסָּרִיסִים֙ לְדָנִיֵּ֔אל יָרֵ֤א אֲנִי֙ אֶת אֲדֹנִ֣י הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ אֲשֶׁר מִנָּ֛ה אֶת מַאֲכַלְכֶ֥ם וְאֶת מִשְׁתֵּיכֶ֖ם אֲשֶׁ֣ר לָ֑מָּה יִרְאֶ֤ה אֶת פְּנֵיכֶם֙ זֹֽעֲפִ֔ים מִן הַיְּלָדִ֕ים אֲשֶׁ֖ר כְּגִֽילְכֶ֑ם וְחִיַּבְתֶּ֥ם אֶת רֹאשִׁ֖י לַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃
And the prince of the eunuchs said unto Daniel, I fear my lord the king, who hath appointed your meat and your drink: for why should he see your faces worse liking than the children which are of your sort? then shall ye make me endanger my head to the king.
pero este le dijo: Temo a mi señor el rey, quien asignó vuestra comida y vuestra bebida. Si él ve que vuestro aspecto está peor que el de los otros jóvenes de vuestra edad, pondréis mi cabeza en peligro ante el rey.
