וַיָּ֤שֶׂם דָּנִיֵּאל֙ עַל לִבּ֔וֹ אֲשֶׁ֤ר לֹֽא יִתְגָּאַל֙ בְּפַת בַּ֣ג הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ וּבְיֵ֖ין מִשְׁתָּ֑יו וַיְבַקֵּ֕שׁ מִשַּׂ֣ר הַסָּרִיסִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֖ר לֹ֥א יִתְגָּאָֽל׃
But Daniel purposed in his heart that he would not defile himself with the portion of the king's meat, nor with the wine which he drank: therefore he requested of the prince of the eunuchs that he might not defile himself.
Pero Daniel tomó la decisión de no contaminarse con los alimentos del rey ni con el vino que él bebía. Por eso pidió al jefe de los eunucos que le permitiera no contaminarse.
