בֵּ֣אדַיִן֩ דָּנִיֵּ֨אל דִּ֤י שְׁמֵהּ֙ בֵּלְטְשַׁאצַּ֔ר אֶתְבְּהַ֥ל כִּשְׁעָ֖ה חֲדָ֑ה וְרַעְיֹנֹ֙והִי֙ יְבַהֲלֻנֵּ֔הּ עָנֵ֤ה מַלְכָּא֙ וְאָמַ֔ר בֵּלְטְשַׁאצַּ֕ר חֶלְמָ֥א וּפִשְׁרֵ֖הּ אַל יְבַהֲלָ֑ךְ עָנֵ֤ה בֵּלְטְשַׁאצַּר֙ וְאָמַ֔ר מָרִ֗י חֶלְמָ֤א לְשָֽׂנְאָ֙ךְ֙ וּפִשְׁרֵ֔הּ לְעָרָ֖ךְ׃
Then Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, was astonied for one hour, and his thoughts troubled him. The king spake, and said, Belteshazzar, let not the dream, or the interpretation thereof, trouble thee. Belteshazzar answered and said, My lord, the dream be to them that hate thee, and the interpretation thereof to thine enemies.
Entonces Daniel, cuyo nombre era Beltsasar, quedó perplejo por un momento, y sus pensamientos lo turbaron. El rey le dijo: Beltsasar, que el sueño ni la interpretación te turben. Beltsasar respondió y dijo: Señor mío, el sueño sea para los que te odian y su interpretación para tus enemigos.
