1 Chronicles 17:6

בְּכֹ֣ל אֲשֶׁר הִתְהַלַּ֗כְתִּי בְּכָ֣ל יִ֣שְׂרָאֵ֡ל הֲדָבָ֨ר דִּבַּ֤רְתִּי אֶת אַחַד֙ שֹׁפְטֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֲשֶׁ֤ר צִוִּ֙יתִי֙ לִרְע֣וֹת אֶת עַמִּ֔י לֵאמֹ֕ר לָ֥מָּה לֹ֥א בְנִיתֶ֖ם לִ֥י בֵ֖ית אֲרָזִֽים׃

bkol ʾasher hithalaktiy bkal yishraʾel hadabar dibartiy ʾet ʾaḥad shopṭey yishraʾel ʾasher ṣiviytiy lirʿvot ʾet ʿamiy leʾmor lamah loʾ bniytem liy beyt ʾaraziym

King James Version (KJV)

Wheresoever I have walked with all Israel, spake I a word to any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to feed my people, saying, Why have ye not built me an house of cedars?

Modern English

Wherever I have moved among all Israel, did I speak a word with any of the judges of Israel, whom I commanded to shepherd my people, saying: Why have you not built me a house of cedar?
