1 Chronicles 21:2

And David said to Joab and to the rulers of the people, Go, number Israel from Beersheba even to Dan; and bring the number of them to me, that I may know it.

So David said to Joab and the commanders of the army: Go, number Israel, from Beersheba to Dan, and bring me a report, that I may know their number.

וַיֹּ֤אמֶר דָּוִיד֙ אֶל יוֹאָ֔ב וְאֶ֖ל שָׂרֵ֣י הָעָ֑ם לְכ֗וּ סִפְר֤וּ אֶת יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ מִבְּאֵ֣ר שֶׁ֔בַע וְעַד דָּ֑ן וְהָבִ֥יאוּ אֵלַ֖י וְאֵדְעָ֥ה אֶת מִסְפָּרָֽם׃

vayoʾmer daviyd ʾel yvoʾab vʾel sharey haʿam lkv siprv ʾet yishraʾel mibʾer shebaʿ vʿad dan vhabiyʾv ʾelay vʾedʿah ʾet misparam
