נְבוּכַדְנֶצַּ֣ר מַלְכָּ֗א עֲבַ֞ד צְלֵ֥ם דִּֽי דְהַ֛ב רוּמֵ֥הּ אַמִּ֖ין שִׁתִּ֑ין פְּתָיֵ֖הּ אַמִּ֥ין שִֽׁת׃

KJVNebuchadnezzar the king made an image of gold, whose height was threescore cubits, and the breadth thereof six cubits: he set it up in the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.

King Nebuchadnezzar made an image of gold, whose height was sixty cubits and its breadth six cubits. He set it up on the plain of Dura, in the province of Babylon.

וּנְבוּכַדְנֶצַּ֣ר מַלְכָּ֡א שְׁלַח֩ לְמִכְנַ֨שׁ לַאֲחַשְׁדַּרְפְּנַיָּ֜א סִגְנַיָּ֣א וּפַחֲוָתָ֗א אֲדַרְגָּזְרַיָּ֤א גְדָֽבְרַיָּא֙ דְּתָבְרַיָּ֔א תִּפְתָּיֵ֖א וְכֹ֣ל שִׁלְטֹנֵ֣י מְדִינָתָ֑א לְמֵתֵ֗א לַחֲנֻכַּ֛ת צַלְמָ֖א דִּ֥י הֲקֵ֖ים נְבוּכַדְנֶצַּ֥ר מַלְכָּֽא׃

KJVThen Nebuchadnezzar the king sent to gather together the princes, the governors, and the captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, to come to the dedication of the image which Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.

Then King Nebuchadnezzar sent to gather the satraps, the prefects, and the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the justices, the magistrates, and all the officials of the provinces to come to the dedication of the image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

בֵּ֣אדַיִן֩ מִתְכַּנְּשִׁ֨ין אֲחַשְׁדַּרְפְּנַיָּ֜א סִגְנַיָּ֣א וּפַחֲוָתָ֗א אֲדַרְגָּזְרַיָּ֤א גְדָֽבְרַיָּא֙ דְּתָבְרַיָּ֔א תִּפְתָּיֵ֖א וְכֹ֣ל שִׁלְטֹנֵ֣י מְדִינָתָ֑א לַחֲנֻכַּ֣ת צַלְמָ֗א דִּ֤י הֲקֵ֨ים נְבוּכַדְנֶצַּ֣ר מַלְכָּ֔א וְקָֽיְמִ֕ין לָ֖קֳבֵל֙ צַלְמָ֔א דִּ֥י הֲקֵ֖ים נְבוּכַדְנֶצַּֽר׃

KJVThen the princes, the governors, and captains, the judges, the treasurers, the counsellors, the sheriffs, and all the rulers of the provinces, were gathered together unto the dedication of the image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up; and they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

Then the satraps, the prefects, and the governors, the counselors, the treasurers, the justices, the magistrates, and all the officials of the provinces gathered for the dedication of the image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up. And they stood before the image that Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

וְקָרֵ֣א כָר֔וֹזָא בְּחַ֖יִל לְכֹ֣ן אָמְרִ֑ין עַמְמַיָּ֤א אֻמַּיָּ֙א֙ וְלִשָּׁנַיָּ֔א׃

KJVThen an herald cried aloud, To you it is commanded, O people, nations, and languages,

And the herald proclaimed aloud: You are commanded, O peoples, nations, and languages,

בְּעִדָּנָ֡א דִּֽי תִשְׁמְעוּן֩ קַ֨ל קַרְנָ֜א מַשְׁרוֹקִיתָ֣א קַתְרֹ֗ס שַׂבְּכָ֧א פְּסַנְתֵּרִ֛ין סוּמְפֹּנְיָ֖ה וְכֹ֣ל זְנֵ֣י זְמָרָ֑א תִּפְּל֣וּן וְתִסְגְּד֔וּן לְצֶ֥לֶם דַּהֲבָ֖א דִּ֥י הֲקֵ֖ים נְבוּכַדְנֶצַּ֥ר מַלְכָּֽא׃

KJVThat at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king hath set up:

that when you hear the sound of the horn, pipe, lyre, trigon, harp, bagpipe, and every kind of music, you are to fall down and worship the golden image that King Nebuchadnezzar has set up.

וּמַן דִּי לָ֣א יִפֵּ֣ל וְיִסְגֻּ֡ד בַּהּ שַׁעֲתָ֣א יִתְרְמֵ֣א לְגֹוא אַתּוּן֩ נוּרָ֨א יָקִֽדְתָּֽא׃

KJVAnd whoso falleth not down and worshippeth shall the same hour be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.

And whoever does not fall down and worship shall immediately be cast into a burning fiery furnace.

כָּל קֳבֵ֣ל דְּנָ֡ה בֵּהּ זְמָנָ֗א כְּדִ֤י שָׁמְעִין֙ כָּל עַֽמְמַיָּ֔א קַ֥ל קַרְנָ֛א מַשְׁרוֹקִיתָ֥א קַתְרֹ֖ס שַׂבְּכָ֣א פְּסַנְתֵּרִ֑ין וְכֹ֣ל זְנֵ֣י זְמָרָ֑א נָ֨פְלִ֜ין כָּל עַֽמְמַיָּ֣א אֻמַּיָּ֣א וְלִשָּׁנַיָּ֣א סָגְדִ֗ין לְצֶ֤לֶם דַּהֲבָ֙א֙ דִּ֣י הֲקֵ֔ים נְבוּכַדְנֶצַּ֖ר מַלְכָּֽא׃

KJVTherefore at that time, when all the people heard the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and all kinds of musick, all the people, the nations, and the languages, fell down and worshipped the golden image that Nebuchadnezzar the king had set up.

Therefore, as soon as all the peoples heard the sound of the horn, pipe, lyre, trigon, harp, and every kind of music, all the peoples, nations, and languages fell down and worshiped the golden image that King Nebuchadnezzar had set up.

כָּל קֳבֵל֙ דְּנָ֔ה בֵּהּ זְמַנָּ֗א קְרִ֤בוּ גֻּבְרִין֙ כַּשְׂדָּאִ֔ין וַאֲכַ֖לוּ קַרְצֵיה֑וֹן דִּ֥י יְהוּדָֽיֵא׃

KJVWherefore at that time certain Chaldeans came near, and accused the Jews.

Therefore at that time certain Chaldeans came forward and maliciously accused the Jews.

עֲנ֕וֹ וְאָמְרִ֖ין לִנְבוּכַדְנֶצַּ֣ר מַלְכָּ֑א מַלְכָּ֖א לְעָלְמִ֥ין חֱיִֽי׃

KJVThey spake and said to the king Nebuchadnezzar, O king, live for ever.

They declared to King Nebuchadnezzar: O king, live forever!

אַנְתְּ֣ מַלְכָּ֡א שָׂ֣מְתָּ טְּעֵ֣ם דִּ֣י כָל אֱנָ֣שׁ דִּֽי יִשְׁמַ֣ע קַ֣ל קַרְנָ֡א מַשְׁרוֹקִיתָ֣א קַתְרֹ֣ס שַׂבְּכָ֣א פְּסַנְתֵּרִ֡ין וְסוּמְפֹּנְיָ֣ה וְכֹ֣ל זְנֵ֣י זְמָרָ֑א יִפֵּ֣ל וְיִסְגֻּד֙ לְצֶ֣לֶם דַּהֲבָ֔א׃

KJVThou, O king, hast made a decree, that every man that shall hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, shall fall down and worship the golden image:

You, O king, have made a decree, that every man who hears the sound of the horn, pipe, lyre, trigon, harp, and bagpipe, and every kind of music, shall fall down and worship the golden image.

וּמַן דִּי לָ֣א יִפֵּ֣ל וְיִסְגֻּ֡ד יִתְרְמֵ֣א לְגֹוא אַתּ֥וּן נוּרָ֖א יָקִֽידְתָּֽא׃

KJVAnd whoso falleth not down and worshippeth, that he should be cast into the midst of a burning fiery furnace.

And whoever does not fall down and worship shall be cast into a burning fiery furnace.

אִיתַ֣י גֻּבְרִ֣ין יְהוּדָאִ֡ין דִּ֣י מַנִּ֣יתָ יָֽתְהֹ֡ון עַ֣ל עֲבִידַ֣ת מְדִינַ֣ת בָּבֶ֑ל שַׁדְרַ֤ךְ מֵישַׁךְ֙ וַעֲבֵ֣ד נְג֔וֹ גֻּבְרַיָּ֣א אִלֵּ֣ך לָ֣א שָׂ֣מוּ עֲלָ֣יִּך מַלְכָּ֑א טְּעֵם֙ לֵאלָ֣הָ֔יִּך לָ֣א פָ֔לְחִין וּלְצֶ֥לֶם דַּהֲבָ֖א דִּ֥י הֲקֵ֖ימְתָּ לָ֥א סָגְדִֽין׃

KJVThere are certain Jews whom thou hast set over the affairs of the province of Babylon, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego; these men, O king, have not regarded thee: they serve not thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

There are certain Jews whom you have appointed over the affairs of the province of Babylon: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. These men, O king, pay no attention to you; they do not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.

בֵּ֣אדַיִן֩ נְבוּכַדְנֶצַּ֨ר בִּרְגַ֜ז וַחֲמָ֗ה אֲמַ֤ר לְהַיְתָיָה֙ לְשַׁדְרַ֣ךְ מֵישַׁ֔ךְ וַעֲבֵ֖ד נְג֑וֹ אֱדַ֗יִן גֻּבְרַיָּ֤א אִלֵּךְ֙ הֵיתָ֔יִו קֳדָ֖ם מַלְכָּֽא׃

KJVThen Nebuchadnezzar in his rage and fury commanded to bring Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. Then they brought these men before the king.

Then Nebuchadnezzar in furious rage commanded that Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego be brought. So they brought these men before the king.

עָנֵ֣ה נְבוּכַדְנֶצַּ֣ר וְאָמַ֣ר לְהֹ֡ון הַצְדָּ֣א שַׁדְרַ֣ךְ מֵישַׁ֣ךְ וַעֲבֵ֣ד נְגֹ֑ו לֵאלָהַ֣י לָ֣א אִיתֵיכֹ֣ון פָּ֣לְחִין וּלְצֶ֣לֶם דַּהֲבָ֣א דִּ֣י הֲקֵ֣ימֶת לָ֣א סָגְדִ֑ין׃

KJVNebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up?

Nebuchadnezzar answered and said to them: Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, that you do not serve my gods or worship the golden image that I have set up?

כְּעַן֩ הֵ֨ן אִיתֵיכֹ֜ון עֲתִידִ֗ין דִּ֣י בְעִדָּנָ֡א דִּֽי תִשְׁמְעוּן֩ קַ֨ל קַרְנָ֜א מַשְׁרוֹקִיתָ֣א קַתְרֹ֗ס שַׂבְּכָ֧א פְּסַנְתֵּרִ֛ין וְסוּמְפֹּנְיָ֖ה וְכֹ֣ל זְנֵ֣י זְמָרָ֑א תִּפְּל֣וּן וְתִסְגְּד֣וּן לְצַלְמָ֣א דִי עֲבַ֑דְתְּ וְהֵ֣ן לָ֣א תִסְגְּד֣וּן בֵּהּ שַׁעֲתָ֣א תִּתְרְמ֣וֹן לְגֹוא אַתּ֣וּן נוּרָ֡א יָקִֽידְתָּ֡א וּמַ֣ן ה֣וּא אֱלָ֣הּ דִּ֣י יְשֵׁיזְבִנְּכֹ֣ון מִן יְדָ֡י׃

KJVNow if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?

Now if you are ready when you hear the sound of the horn, pipe, lyre, trigon, harp, and bagpipe, and every kind of music, to fall down and worship the image that I have made, well and good. But if you do not worship, you shall immediately be cast into a burning fiery furnace. And who is the god who will deliver you out of my hands?

עֲנ֣וֹ שַׁדְרַ֣ךְ מֵישַׁ֣ךְ וַעֲבֵ֣ד נְגֹ֑ו וְאָמְרִ֣ין לְמַלְכָּ֣א נְבוּכַדְנֶצַּ֡ר לָ֣א חַשְׁחִ֣ין אֲנַ֣חְנָה עַל דְּנָ֣ה פִּתְגָ֣ם לַהֲתָבוּתָ֑ךְ׃

KJVShadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter.

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to the king: O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter.

הֵ֣ן אִיתַ֣י אֱלָהַ֣נָא דִּֽי אֲנַ֣חְנָ֣א פָלְחִ֣ין יָכִ֣ל לְשֵׁיזָבוּתַ֣נָה מִן אַתּ֣וּן נוּרָ֡א יָקִֽידְתָּ֡א וּמִן יְדָ֡ךְ מַלְכָּ֡א יְשֵׁיזִ֡ב׃

KJVIf it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king.

If this be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king.

וְהֵ֥ן לָ֖א יְדִ֣יעַ לֶהֱוֵ֣א לָ֑ךְ מַלְכָּ֗א דִּ֣י לֵאלָ֣הָ֔יִּך לָ֣א אִיתֵינָ֣א פָ֔לְחִין וּלְצֶ֥לֶם דַּהֲבָ֖א דִּ֥י הֲקֵ֖ימְתָּ לָ֥א נִסְגֻּֽד׃

KJVBut if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up.

But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.

בֵּ֣אדַיִן֩ נְבוּכַדְנֶצַּ֨ר אִתְמְלִ֜י חֱמָ֗א וּצְלֵ֤ם אַנְפּ֙וֹהִי֙ אִשְׁתַּנִּ֔י עַֽל שַׁדְרַ֣ךְ מֵישַׁ֔ךְ וַעֲבֵ֖ד נְג֑וֹ עָנֵ֣ה וְאָמַ֗ר לְמֵזֵ֤א לְאַתּוּנָא֙ שִׁבְעָ֔ה עַל דִּי֙ חֲזֵ֣ה לְמֵזְיֵ֔הּ׃

KJVThen was Nebuchadnezzar full of fury, and the form of his visage was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego: therefore he spake, and commanded that they should heat the furnace one seven times more than it was wont to be heated.

Then Nebuchadnezzar was filled with fury, and the expression of his face was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. He ordered the furnace heated seven times more than it was usually heated.

וּלְגֻֽבְרִ֨ין גִּבָּרֵ֤י חַ֙יִל֙ דִּ֣י בְחַיְלֵ֔הּ אֲמַ֕ר לְכַפָּתָ֗ה לְשַׁדְרַ֛ךְ מֵישַׁ֥ךְ וַעֲבֵ֖ד נְג֑וֹ לְמֵרְמֵ֖א לְאַתּ֥וּן נוּרָ֖א יָקִֽידְתָּֽא׃

KJVAnd he commanded the most mighty men that were in his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.

And he ordered some of the mighty men of his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace.

בֵּ֣אדַיִן֩ גֻּבְרַיָּ֨א אִלֵּ֜ךְ כְּפִ֗יתוּ בְּסַרְבָּלֵיהֹ֤ון פַּטִּישֵׁיהֹ֙ון֙ וְכַרְבְּלָתְהֹ֔ון וּלְבוּשֵׁיהֹ֖ון וּרְמִ֣יו לְגֹ֣וא אַתּ֣וּן נוּרָ֡א יָקִֽידְתָּֽא׃

KJVThen these men were bound in their coats, their hosen, and their hats, and their other garments, and were cast into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.

Then these men were bound in their cloaks, their tunics, their hats, and their other garments, and they were thrown into the burning fiery furnace.

כָּל קֳבֵ֗ל דְּנָה֩ מִן דִּ֨י מִלַּ֤ת מַלְכָּא֙ מַחְצְפָ֔א וְאַתּוּנָ֥א אֵזֵ֖ה יַתִּיר֑ גֻּבְרַיָּ֤א אִלֵּךְ֙ דִּ֣י הַסִּ֣קוּ לְשַׁדְרַ֣ךְ מֵישַׁ֣ךְ וַעֲבֵ֣ד נְגֹ֑ו קַטֵּ֣ל הִמּ֔וֹן שְׁבִ֥יבָ֖א דִּ֥י נוּרָֽא׃

KJVTherefore because the king's commandment was urgent, and the furnace exceeding hot, the flame of the fire slew those men that took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

Because the king's order was urgent and the furnace overheated, the flame of the fire killed those men who took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego.

וְגֻבְרַיָּ֣א אִלֵּ֗ךְ תְּלָ֙תֵּה֙וֹן שַׁדְרַ֣ךְ מֵישַׁ֔ךְ וַעֲבֵ֖ד נְג֑וֹ נְפַ֕לוּ לְגֹ֣וא אַתּ֣וּן נוּרָ֡א יָקִֽידְתָּ֡א מְכַפְּתִֽין׃

KJVAnd these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell down bound into the midst of the burning fiery furnace.

And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell bound into the burning fiery furnace.

בֵּ֣אדַיִן֩ נְבוּכַדְנֶצַּ֨ר מַלְכָּ֜א תְּוַ֗הּ וְקָ֤ם בְּהִתְבְּהָלָה֙ עָנֵ֣ה וְאָמַ֔ר לְהַדָּבְרוֹהִ֖י הֲלָ֣א גֻֽבְרִ֣ין תְּלָתָ֣ה רְמֵ֣ינָא לְגֹ֣וא נוּרָ֡א מְכַפְּתִ֡ין עָנַ֣יִן וְאָמְרִ֣ין לְמַלְכָּ֡א יַצִּ֣יבָ֡א מַלְכָּֽא׃

KJVThen Nebuchadnezzar the king was astonied, and rose up in haste, and spake, and said unto his counsellors, Did not we cast three men bound into the midst of the fire? They answered and said unto the king, True, O king.

Then King Nebuchadnezzar was astonished and rose up in haste. He declared to his counselors: Did we not cast three men bound into the fire? They answered and said to the king: True, O king.

עָנֵ֣ה וְאָמַ֔ר הָ֣א אֲנָ֣ה חָזֵ֣א גֻבְרִ֡ין אַרְבְּעָ֣ה שְׁרַ֣יִן מַהְלְכִ֣ין בְּגֹ֣וא נוּרָ֡א וַחֲבָ֣ל לָ֣א אִיתַ֡י בְּהֹ֣ון וְרֵוֵ֣הּ דִּ֣י רְבִיעָאָ֣ה דָמֵ֣ה לְבַ֣ר אֱלָהִֽין׃

KJVHe answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have no hurt; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.

He answered and said: But I see four men unbound, walking in the midst of the fire, and they are not hurt; and the appearance of the fourth is like a son of the gods.

בֵּ֣אדַיִן֩ קְרֵ֨ב נְבוּכַדְנֶצַּ֜ר לִתְרַ֣ע אַתּ֣וּן נוּרָ֡א יָקִֽידְתָּ֡א עָנֵ֣ה וְאָמַ֗ר שַׁדְרַ֤ךְ מֵישַׁךְ֙ וַעֲבֵ֣ד נְג֔וֹ עַבְדוֹהִ֥י דִּ֖י אֱלָהָ֣א עִלָּאָ֑ה פֻּ֥קוּ וֶאֱת֖וֹ בֵּ֣אדַיִן נָפְקִ֗ין שַׁדְרַ֛ךְ מֵישַׁ֥ךְ וַעֲבֵ֖ד נְגֹ֑ו מִן גֹּ֖וא נוּרָֽא׃

KJVThen Nebuchadnezzar came near to the mouth of the burning fiery furnace, and spake, and said, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, ye servants of the most high God, come forth, and come hither. Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire.

Then Nebuchadnezzar came near to the door of the burning fiery furnace; he declared: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of the Most High God, come out, and come here! Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego came out from the fire.

וּמִתְכַּנְּשִׁ֞ין אֲחַשְׁדַּרְפְּנַיָּ֤א סִגְנַיָּא֙ וּפַחֲוָתָ֔א וְהַדָּבְרֵ֖י מַלְכָּ֑א חָ֣זַיִן לְגֻבְרַיָּ֣א אִלֵּ֡ן דִּֽי לָ֣א שְׁלִ֣ט נוּרָ֣א בְּגֶשְׁמְהֹ֣ון וּשְׂעַ֣ר רֵאשְׁהֹ֣ון לָ֣א הִתְחָ֣רַֽךְ וְסַרְבָּלֵיהֹ֣ון לָ֣א שְׁנֹ֡ו וְרֵ֣יחַ נוּרָ֡א לָ֣א עֲדָ֡ת בְּהֹֽון׃

KJVAnd the princes, governors, and captains, and the king's counsellors, being gathered together, saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.

And the satraps, the prefects, the governors, and the king's counselors gathered together and saw that the fire had not had any power over the bodies of those men. The hair of their heads was not singed, their cloaks were not harmed, and no smell of fire had come upon them.

עָנֵ֣ה נְבוּכַדְנֶצַּ֗ר וְאָמַ֨ר בְּרִ֤יךְ אֱלָֽהֲהֹון֙ דִּֽי שַׁדְרַ֣ךְ מֵישַׁ֣ךְ וַעֲבֵ֣ד נְגֹ֑ו דִּ֣י שְׁלַ֣ח מַלְאֲכֵ֣הּ וְשֵׁיזִ֣ב לְעַבְד֣וֹהִי דִּ֣י הִתְרְחִ֣צוּ עֲלוֹהִ֣י וּמִלַּ֣ת מַלְכָּ֡א שַׁנִּ֣יוּ וִיהַ֣בוּ גֶשְׁמְהֹ֣ון דִּ֣י לָ֣א יִפְלְח֣וּן וְלָ֣א יִסְגְּד֣וּן לְכָל אֱלָ֣הּ לָהֵ֣ן לֵֽאלָהֲהֹ֡ון׃

KJVThen Nebuchadnezzar spake, and said, Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who hath sent his angel, and delivered his servants that trusted in him, and have changed the king's word, and yielded their bodies, that they might not serve nor worship any god, except their own God.

Nebuchadnezzar answered and said: Blessed be the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, who has sent his angel and delivered his servants, who trusted in him, and set aside the king's command, and yielded up their bodies rather than serve and worship any god except their own God.

וּמִנִּ֗י שִׂ֣ים טְעֵ֡ם דִּ֣י כָל עַ֣ם אֻמָּ֣ה וְלִשָּׁ֡ן דִּ֣י יֵאמַ֣ר שָׁלָ֣ה עַ֣ל אֱלָהֲהֹ֣ון דִּ֣י שַׁדְרַ֣ךְ מֵישַׁ֣ךְ וַעֲבֵ֣ד נְגֹ֑ו הַדָּמִ֣ין יִתְעֲבֵ֣ד וּבֵיתֵ֣הּ נְוָלִ֡י יִשְׂתַּוֵּ֡ה כָּל קֳבֵ֣ל דִּ֣י לָ֣א אִיתַ֡י אֱלָ֣הּ אָחֳרָ֣ן דִּ֣י יִכֻּ֣ל לְהַצָּלָ֣ה כִּדְנָֽה׃

KJVTherefore I make a decree, That every people, nation, and language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.

Therefore I make a decree: Any people, nation, or language that speaks anything against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego shall be torn limb from limb, and their houses laid in ruins, for there is no other god who is able to rescue in this way.

בֵּ֣אדַיִן֩ מַלְכָּ֨א הַצְלַ֜ח לְשַׁדְרַ֣ךְ מֵישַׁ֣ךְ וַעֲבֵ֣ד נְגֹ֑ו בִּמְדִינַ֖ת בָּבֶֽל׃
