Psalms 55:13

כִּ֤י לֹֽא אוֹיֵ֣ב יְחָרְפֵ֣נִי וְאֶשָּׂ֑א לֹֽא מְ֝שַׂנְאִ֗י עָלַ֥י הִגְדִּ֗יל וְאֶסָּ֗תֵר מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃
King James Version (KJV)

For it was not an enemy that reproached me; then I could have borne it: neither was it he that hated me that did magnify himself against me; then I would have hid myself from him:

Modern English

For it is not an enemy who taunts me — then I could bear it; it is not an adversary who deals insolently with me — then I could hide from him.
