וְלֹֽא־עֲצָב֨וֹ אָבִ֤יו מִיָּמָיו֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר מַדּ֖וּעַ כָּ֣כָה עָשִׂ֑יתָ וְגַם־ה֤וּא טֽוֹב־תֹּ֙אַר֙ מְאֹ֔ד וְאֹת֥וֹ יָלְדָ֖ה אַחֲרֵ֥י אַבְשָׁלֽוֹם׃
vloʾ-ʿaṣabvo ʾabiyv miyamayv leʾmor madvʿa kakah ʿashiyta vgam-hvʾ ṭvob-toʾar mʾod vʾotvo yaldah ʾaḥarey ʾabshalvom

Modern English

His father had not displeased him at any time in saying, “Why have you done so?” and he was also a very handsome man; and he was born after Absalom.
