Entonces el varón de Dios se enojó contra él y le dijo: «Si hubieras golpeado cinco o seis veces, habrías herido a Siria hasta no dejar ninguno; mas ahora sólo tres veces herirás a Siria.»
And the man of God was wroth with him, and said, Thou shouldest have smitten five or six times; then hadst thou smitten Syria till thou hadst consumed {it}: whereas now thou shalt smite Syria {but} thrice.
וַיִּקְצֹ֨ף עָלָ֜יו אִ֣ישׁ הָאֱלֹהִ֗ים וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ לְהַכּ֨וֹת חָמֵ֤שׁ אוֹ־שֵׁשׁ֙ פְּעָמִ֔ים אָ֛ז הִכִּ֥יתָ אֶת־אֲרָ֖ם עַד־כַּלֵּ֑ה וְעַתָּ֕ה שָׁלֹ֥שׁ פְּעָמִ֖ים תַּכֶּ֥ה אֶת־אֲרָֽם׃
vayiqṣof ʿalayv ʾiysh haʾelohiym vayoʾmer lhakvot ḥamesh ʾvo-shesh pʿamiym ʾaz hikiyta ʾet-ʾaram ʿad-kaleh vʿatah shalosh pʿamiym takeh ʾet-ʾaram
