Mas Joacaz imploró al SEÑOR, y el SEÑOR le oyó; porque vio la opresión de Israel, pues el rey de Siria los oprimía.
And Jehoahaz besought the LORD, and the LORD hearkened unto him: for he saw the oppression of Israel, because the king of Syria oppressed them.
וַיְחַ֥ל יְהוֹאָחָ֖ז אֶת־פְּנֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה וַיִּשְׁמַ֤ע אֵלָיו֙ יְהוָ֔ה כִּ֤י רָאָה֙ אֶת־לַ֣חַץ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל כִּֽי־לָחַ֥ץ אֹתָ֖ם מֶ֥לֶךְ אֲרָֽם׃
vayḥal yhvoʾaḥaz ʾet-pney yhvah vayishmaʿ ʾelayv yhvah kiy raʾah ʾet-laḥaṣ yishraʾel kiy-laḥaṣ ʾotam melek ʾaram
