Pero no mató a los hijos de los homicidas, conforme a lo escrito en el libro de la ley de Moisés, donde el SEÑOR mandó, diciendo: «No matarán a los padres por causa de los hijos, ni a los hijos por causa de los padres; cada uno morirá por su propio pecado.»
But the children of the murderers he slew not: according unto that which is written in the book of the law of Moses, wherein the LORD commanded, saying, The fathers shall not be put to death for the children, nor the children be put to death for the fathers; but every man shall be put to death for his own sin.
וְאֶת־בְּנֵ֥י הַמַּכִּ֖ים לֹ֣א הֵמִ֑ית כַּכָּת֣וּב בְּסֵ֣פֶר תּֽוֹרַת־מֹ֠שֶׁה אֲשֶׁר־צִוָּ֨ה יְהוָ֜ה לֵאמֹ֗ר לֹא־יוּמְת֨וּ אָב֤וֹת עַל־בָּנִים֙ וּבָנִים֙ לֹא־יוּמְת֣וּ עַל־אָב֔וֹת כִּ֛י אִם־אִ֥ישׁ בְּחֶטְא֖וֹ ימות יוּמָֽת׃
vʾet-bney hamakiym loʾ hemiyt kakatvb bseper tvorat-mosheh ʾasher-ṣivah yhvah leʾmor loʾ-yvmtv ʾabvot ʿal-baniym vbaniym loʾ-yvmtv ʿal-ʾabvot kiy ʾim-ʾiysh bḥeṭʾvo ymvt yvmat
