הוּא־הִכָּ֨ה אֶת־אֱד֤וֹם בְּגֵיא־המלח מֶ֙לַח֙ עֲשֶׂ֣רֶת אֲלָפִ֔ים וְתָפַ֥שׂ אֶת־הַסֶּ֖לַע בַּמִּלְחָמָ֑ה וַיִּקְרָ֤א אֶת־שְׁמָהּ֙ יָקְתְאֵ֔ל עַ֖ד הַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃
hvʾ-hikah ʾet-ʾedvom bgeyʾ-hmlḥ melaḥ ʿasheret ʾalapiym vtapas ʾet-haselaʿ bamilḥamah vayiqraʾ ʾet-shmah yaqtʾel ʿad hayvom hazeh

He slew of Edom in the valley of salt ten thousand, and took Selah by war, and called the name of it Joktheel unto this day. {Selah: or, the rock}

Modern English

He killed ten thousand Edomites in the Valley of Salt, and took Sela by war, and called its name Joktheel, to this day.
