Fue entonces abierta una brecha en el muro de la ciudad; y todos los hombres de guerra huyeron de noche por el camino de la puerta que estaba entre los dos muros, junto a los jardines del rey; y los caldeos estaban alrededor de la ciudad. Huyeron, pues, los del rey hacia la llanura del Arabá.
And the city was broken up, and all the men of war {fled} by night by the way of the gate between two walls, which {is} by the king's garden: (now the Chaldees {were} against the city round about:) and {the king} went the way toward the plain.
וַתִּבָּקַ֣ע הָעִ֗יר וְכָל־אַנְשֵׁ֨י הַמִּלְחָמָ֤ה ׀ הַלַּ֙יְלָה֙ דֶּ֜רֶךְ שַׁ֣עַר ׀ בֵּ֣ין הַחֹמֹתַ֗יִם אֲשֶׁר֙ עַל־גַּ֣ן הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ וְכַשְׂדִּ֥ים עַל־הָעִ֖יר סָבִ֑יב וַיֵּ֖לֶךְ דֶּ֥רֶךְ הָעֲרָבָֽה׃
vatibaqaʿ haʿiyr vkal-ʾanshey hamilḥamah ׀ halaylah derek shaʿar ׀ beyn haḥomotayim ʾasher ʿal-gan hamelek vkashdiym ʿal-haʿiyr sabiyb vayelek derek haʿarabah
