Con todo eso, el SEÑOR no quiso destruir a Judá, a causa de David su siervo, por cuanto le había prometido darle lámpara a él y a sus hijos perpetuamente.
Yet the LORD would not destroy Judah for David his servant's sake, as he promised him to give him alway a light, {and} to his children. {light: Heb. candle, or, lamp}
וְלֹֽא־אָבָ֤ה יְהוָה֙ לְהַשְׁחִ֣ית אֶת־יְהוּדָ֔ה לְמַ֖עַן דָּוִ֣ד עַבְדּ֑וֹ כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר אָֽמַר־ל֗וֹ לָתֵ֨ת ל֥וֹ נִ֛יר לְבָנָ֖יו כָּל־הַיָּמִֽים׃
vloʾ-ʾabah yhvah lhashḥiyt ʾet-yhvdah lmaʿan david ʿabdvo kaʾasher ʾamar-lvo latet lvo niyr lbanayv kal-hayamiym
