Y cuando el rey David llegó a Bahurim, he aquí que salía un hombre de la familia de la casa de Saúl, que se llamaba Simei hijo de Gera. Salió maldiciendo mientras andaba,

וּבָ֛א הַמֶּ֥לֶךְ דָּוִ֖ד עַד־בַּֽחוּרִ֑ים וְהִנֵּ֣ה מִשָּׁם֩ אִ֨ישׁ יוֹצֵ֜א מִמִּשְׁפַּ֣חַת בֵּית־שָׁא֗וּל וּשְׁמוֹ֙ שִׁמְעִ֣י בֶן־גֵּרָ֔א יֹצֵ֥א יָצ֖וֹא וּמְקַלֵּֽל׃
vbaʾ hamelek david ʿad-baḥvriym vhineh misham ʾiysh yvoṣeʾ mimishpaḥat beyt-shaʾvl vshmvo shimʿiy ben-geraʾ yoṣeʾ yaṣvoʾ vmqalel
