David envió al pueblo en tres grupos: un tercio en mano de Joab, un tercio en mano de Abisai hijo de Sarvia hermano de Joab, y un tercio en mano de Itai el geteo. Y el rey dijo al pueblo: «Yo también saldré con vosotros.»
And David sent forth a third part of the people under the hand of Joab, and a third part under the hand of Abishai the son of Zeruiah, Joab's brother, and a third part under the hand of Ittai the Gittite. And the king said unto the people, I will surely go forth with you myself also.
וַיְשַׁלַּ֨ח דָּוִ֜ד אֶת־הָעָ֗ם הַשְּׁלִשִׁ֤ית בְּיַד־יוֹאָב֙ וְ֠הַשְּׁלִשִׁית בְּיַ֨ד אֲבִישַׁ֤י בֶּן־צְרוּיָה֙ אֲחִ֣י יוֹאָ֔ב וְהַ֨שְּׁלִשִׁ֔ת בְּיַ֖ד אִתַּ֣י הַגִּתִּ֑י וַיֹּ֤אמֶר הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ אֶל־הָעָ֔ם יָצֹ֥א אֵצֵ֛א גַּם־אֲנִ֖י עִמָּכֶֽם׃
vayshalaḥ david ʾet-haʿam hashlishiyt byad-yvoʾab vhashlishiyt byad ʾabiyshay ben-ṣrvyah ʾaḥiy yvoʾab vhashlishit byad ʾitay hagitiy vayoʾmer hamelek ʾel-haʿam yaṣoʾ ʾeṣeʾ gam-ʾaniy ʿimakem
