And Asahel pursued after Abner; and in going he turned not to the right hand nor to the left from following Abner. {from...: Heb. from after Abner}

Asahel pursued Abner; and in going he didn’t turn to the right hand or to the left from following Abner.

וַיִּרְדֹּ֥ף עֲשָׂהאֵ֖ל אַחֲרֵ֣י אַבְנֵ֑ר וְלֹֽא־נָטָ֣ה לָלֶ֗כֶת עַל־הַיָּמִין֙ וְעַֽל־הַשְּׂמֹ֔אול מֵאַחֲרֵ֖י אַבְנֵֽר׃

vayirdof ʿashahʾel ʾaḥarey ʾabner vloʾ-naṭah laleket ʿal-hayamiyn vʿal-hashmoʾvl meʾaḥarey ʾabner
