Y vinieron y lo sitiaron en Abel de Bet-maacá, y levantaron terraplén contra la ciudad, y estaba frente al muro; y todo el pueblo que estaba con Joab batía el muro para derribarlo.
And they came and besieged him in Abel of Bethmaachah, and they cast up a bank against the city, and it stood in the trench: and all the people that {were} with Joab battered the wall, to throw it down. {in the trench: or, against the outmost wall} {battered: Heb. marred to throw down}
וַיָּבֹ֜אוּ וַיָּצֻ֣רוּ עָלָ֗יו בְּאָבֵ֙לָה֙ בֵּ֣ית הַֽמַּעֲכָ֔ה וַיִּשְׁפְּכ֤וּ סֹֽלְלָה֙ אֶל־הָעִ֔יר וַֽתַּעֲמֹ֖ד בַּחֵ֑ל וְכָל־הָעָם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר אֶת־יוֹאָ֔ב מַשְׁחִיתִ֖ם לְהַפִּ֥יל הַחוֹמָֽה׃
vayaboʾv vayaṣurv ʿalayv bʾabelah beyt hamaʿakah vayishpkv sollah ʾel-haʿiyr vataʿamod baḥel vkal-haʿam ʾasher ʾet-yvoʾab mashḥiytim lhapiyl haḥvomah
