David fue a Baal-perazim, y los derrotó allí. Luego dijo: «El SEÑOR rompió a mis enemigos delante de mí como irrupción de aguas.» Por eso llamó a aquel lugar Baal-perazim.
And David came to Baalperazim, and David smote them there, and said, The LORD hath broken forth upon mine enemies before me, as the breach of waters. Therefore he called the name of that place Baalperazim. {Baalperazim: that is, the plain of breaches}
וַיָּבֹ֨א דָוִ֥ד בְּבַֽעַל־פְּרָצִים֮ וַיַּכֵּ֣ם שָׁ֣ם דָּוִד֒ וַיֹּ֕אמֶר פָּרַ֨ץ יְהוָ֧ה אֶת־אֹיְבַ֛י לְפָנַ֖י כְּפֶ֣רֶץ מָ֑יִם עַל־כֵּ֗ן קָרָ֛א שֵֽׁם־הַמָּק֥וֹם הַה֖וּא בַּ֥עַל פְּרָצִֽים׃
vayaboʾ david bbaʿal-praṣiym vayakem sham david vayoʾmer paraṣ yhvah ʾet-ʾoybay lpanay kpereṣ mayim ʿal-ken qaraʾ shem-hamaqvom hahvʾ baʿal praṣiym
