David dijo aquel día: «Todo el que ataque a los jebuseos, que suba por el acueducto y ataque a los cojos y a los ciegos que odia el alma de David.» Por eso se dice: «El ciego y el cojo no entrarán en la casa.»
And David said on that day, Whosoever getteth up to the gutter, and smiteth the Jebusites, and the lame and the blind, {that are} hated of David's soul, {he shall be chief and captain}. וַיֹּ֨אמֶר דָּוִ֜ד בַּיּ֣וֹם הַה֗וּא כָּל־מַכֵּ֤ה יְבֻסִי֙ וְיִגַּ֣ע בַּצִּנּ֔וֹר וְאֶת־הַפִּסְחִים֙ וְאֶת־הַ֣עִוְרִ֔ים שנאו שְׂנֻאֵ֖י נֶ֣פֶשׁ דָּוִ֑ד עַל־כֵּן֙ יֹֽאמְר֔וּ עִוֵּ֣ר וּפִסֵּ֔חַ לֹ֥א יָב֖וֹא אֶל־הַבָּֽיִת׃
vayoʾmer david bayvom hahvʾ kal-makeh ybusiy vyigaʿ baṣinvor vʾet-hapisḥiym vʾet-haʿivriym shnʾv shnuʾey nepesh david ʿal-ken yoʾmrv ʿiver vpiseḥa loʾ yabvoʾ ʾel-habayit
