Ezekiel 17:14

לִֽהְיוֹת֙ מַמְלָכָ֣ה שְׁפָלָ֔ה לְבִלְתִּ֖י הִתְנַשֵּׂ֑א לִשְׁמֹ֥ר אֶת־בְּרִית֖וֹ לְעָמְדָֽהּ׃
lihyvot mamlakah shpalah lbiltiy hitnasheʾ lishmor ʾet-briytvo lʿamdah

That the kingdom might be base, that it might not lift itself up, {but} that by keeping of his covenant it might stand. {but...: Heb. to keep his covenant, to stand to it}

Modern English

that the kingdom might be brought low, that it might not lift itself up, but that by keeping his covenant it might stand.
