Como uvas en el desierto encontré a Israel; como la primera fruta de la higuera en su primera temporada vi a vuestros padres; pero ellos fueron a Baal-peor, se consagraron a la vergüenza y se hicieron abominables como aquello que amaban.
I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the firstripe in the fig tree at her first time: {but} they went to Baalpeor, and separated themselves unto {that} shame; and {their} abominations were according as they loved.
כַּעֲנָבִ֣ים בַּמִּדְבָּ֗ר מָצָ֙אתִי֙ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל כְּבִכּוּרָ֤ה בִתְאֵנָה֙ בְּרֵ֣אשִׁיתָ֔הּ רָאִ֖יתִי אֲבֽוֹתֵיכֶ֑ם הֵ֜מָּה בָּ֣אוּ בַֽעַל־פְּע֗וֹר וַיִּנָּֽזְרוּ֙ לַבֹּ֔שֶׁת וַיִּהְי֥וּ שִׁקּוּצִ֖ים כְּאָהֳבָֽם׃
