Pero cuando Nabucodonosor rey de Babilonia subió a la tierra, dijimos: Vengan, vayamos a Jerusalén por miedo del ejército de los caldeos y por miedo del ejército de los sirios; así habitaremos en Jerusalén.
But it came to pass, when Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon came up into the land, that we said, Come, and let us go to Jerusalem for fear of the army of the Chaldeans, and for fear of the army of the Syrians: so we dwell at Jerusalem.
וַיְהִ֗י בַּעֲל֨וֹת נְבוּכַדְרֶאצַּ֥ר מֶֽלֶךְ־בָּבֶל֮ אֶל־הָאָרֶץ֒ וַנֹּ֗אמֶר בֹּ֚אוּ וְנָב֣וֹא יְרוּשָׁלִַ֔ם מִפְּנֵי֙ חֵ֣יל הַכַּשְׂדִּ֔ים וּמִפְּנֵ֖י חֵ֣יל אֲרָ֑ם וַנֵּ֖שֶׁב בִּירוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃
vayhiy baʿalvot nbvkadreʾṣar melek-babel ʾel-haʾareṣ vanoʾmer boʾv vnabvoʾ yrvshaliam mipney ḥeyl hakashdiym vmipney ḥeyl ʾaram vanesheb biyrvshala͏im
