Cuando Jehudí había leído tres o cuatro columnas, el rey lo cortó con la navaja del escriba y lo echó al fuego que había en el brasero, hasta que todo el rollo fue consumido en el fuego que había en el brasero.
And it came to pass, {that} when Jehudi had read three or four leaves, he cut it with the penknife, and cast {it} into the fire that {was} on the hearth, until all the roll was consumed in the fire that {was} on the hearth.
וַיְהִ֣י ׀ כִּקְר֣וֹא יְהוּדִ֗י שָׁלֹ֣שׁ דְּלָתוֹת֮ וְאַרְבָּעָה֒ יִֽקְרָעֶ֙הָ֙ בְּתַ֣עַר הַסֹּפֵ֔ר וְהַשְׁלֵ֕ךְ אֶל־הָאֵ֖שׁ אֲשֶׁ֣ר אֶל־הָאָ֑ח עַד־תֹּם֙ כָּל־הַמְּגִלָּ֔ה עַל־הָאֵ֖שׁ אֲשֶׁ֥ר עַל־הָאָֽח׃
vayhiy ׀ kiqrvoʾ yhvdiy shalosh dlatvot vʾarbaʿah yiqraʿeha btaʿar hasoper vhashlek ʾel-haʾesh ʾasher ʾel-haʾaḥ ʿad-tom kal-hamgilah ʿal-haʾesh ʾasher ʿal-haʾaḥ
