Jeremías respondió a Sedequías: «Si te lo digo, ¿no me matarás sin duda? Y si te doy consejo, no me escucharás.»
Then Jeremiah said unto Zedekiah, If I declare {it} unto thee, wilt thou not surely put me to death? and if I give thee counsel, wilt thou not hearken unto me?
וַיֹּ֤אמֶר יִרְמְיָ֙הוּ֙ אֶל־צִדְקִיָּ֔הוּ כִּ֚י אַגִּ֣יד לְךָ֔ הֲל֖וֹא הָמֵ֣ת תְּמִיתֵ֑נִי וְכִי֙ אִיעָ֣צְךָ֔ לֹ֥א תִשְׁמַ֖ע אֵלָֽי׃
vayoʾmer yirmyahv ʾel-ṣidqiyahv kiy ʾagiyd lka halvoʾ hamet tmiyteniy vkiy ʾiyʿaṣka loʾ tishmaʿ ʾelay
