Entonces Jeremías dijo a Sedequías: «El SEÑOR de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel, dice: Si sales a los oficiales del rey de Babilonia, vivirás, y esta ciudad no será quemada con fuego. Tú vivirás, junto con tu familia.
Then said Jeremiah unto Zedekiah, Thus saith the LORD, the God of hosts, the God of Israel; If thou wilt assuredly go forth unto the king of Babylon's princes, then thy soul shall live, and this city shall not be burned with fire; and thou shalt live, and thine house:
וַיֹּ֣אמֶר יִרְמְיָ֣הוּ אֶל־צִדְקִיָּ֡הוּ כֹּֽה־אָמַ֣ר יְהוָה֩ אֱלֹהֵ֨י צְבָא֜וֹת אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל אִם־יָצֹ֨א תֵצֵ֜א אֶל־שָׂרֵ֤י מֶֽלֶךְ־בָּבֶל֙ וְחָיְתָ֣ה נַפְשֶׁ֔ךָ וְהָעִ֣יר הַזֹּ֔את לֹ֥א תִשָּׂרֵ֖ף בָּאֵ֑שׁ וְחָיִ֖תָה אַתָּ֥ה וּבֵיתֶֽךָ׃
vayoʾmer yirmyahv ʾel-ṣidqiyahv koh-ʾamar yhvah ʾelohey ṣbaʾvot ʾelohey yishraʾel ʾim-yaṣoʾ teṣeʾ ʾel-sharey melek-babel vḥaytah napsheka vhaʿiyr hazoʾt loʾ tisharef baʾesh vḥayitah ʾatah vbeyteka
