Esta es la razón por la que Josué los circuncidó: todo el pueblo varón que salió de Egipto, todos los hombres de guerra, habían muerto en el desierto por el camino después de salir de Egipto.
And this {is} the cause why Joshua did circumcise: All the people that came out of Egypt, {that were} males, {even} all the men of war, died in the wilderness by the way, after they came out of Egypt.
וְזֶ֥ה הַדָּבָ֖ר אֲשֶׁר־מָ֣ל יְהוֹשֻׁ֑עַ כָּל־הָעָ֣ם הַיֹּצֵא֩ מִמִּצְרַ֨יִם הַזְּכָרִ֜ים כֹּ֣ל ׀ אַנְשֵׁ֣י הַמִּלְחָמָ֗ה מֵ֤תוּ בַמִּדְבָּר֙ בַּדֶּ֔רֶךְ בְּצֵאתָ֖ם מִמִּצְרָֽיִם׃
vzeh hadabar ʾasher-mal yhvoshuʿa kal-haʿam hayoṣeʾ mimiṣrayim hazkariym kol ׀ ʾanshey hamilḥamah metv bamidbar baderek bṣeʾtam mimiṣrayim
