Josué los envió y ellos fueron a tender la emboscada, y se apostaron entre Betel y Hai, al occidente de Hai; pero Josué pasó aquella noche entre el pueblo.
Joshua therefore sent them forth: and they went to lie in ambush, and abode between Bethel and Ai, on the west side of Ai: but Joshua lodged that night among the people.
וַיִּשְׁלָחֵ֣ם יְהוֹשֻׁ֗עַ וַיֵּֽלְכוּ֙ אֶל־הַמַּאְרָ֔ב וַיֵּשְׁב֗וּ בֵּ֧ין בֵּֽית־אֵ֛ל וּבֵ֥ין הָעַ֖י מִיָּ֣ם לָעָ֑י וַיָּ֧לֶן יְהוֹשֻׁ֛עַ בַּלַּ֥יְלָה הַה֖וּא בְּת֥וֹךְ הָעָֽם׃
vayishlaḥem yhvoshuʿa vayelkv ʾel-hamaʾrab vayeshbv beyn beyt-ʾel vbeyn haʿay miyam laʿay vayalen yhvoshuʿa balaylah hahvʾ btvok haʿam
