Y diez mil hombres escogidos de todo Israel llegaron frente a Gabaa, y la batalla era reñida; pero ellos no sabían que la calamidad estaba próxima a ellos.
And there came against Gibeah ten thousand chosen men out of all Israel, and the battle was sore: but they knew not that evil {was} near them.
וַיָּבֹאוּ֩ מִנֶּ֨גֶד לַגִּבְעָ֜ה עֲשֶׂרֶת֩ אֲלָפִ֨ים אִ֤ישׁ בָּחוּר֙ מִכָּל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וְהַמִּלְחָמָ֖ה כָּבֵ֑דָה וְהֵם֙ לֹ֣א יָדְע֔וּ כִּֽי־נֹגַ֥עַת עֲלֵיהֶ֖ם הָרָעָֽה׃
vayaboʾv mineged lagibʿah ʿasheret ʾalapiym ʾiysh baḥvr mikal-yishraʾel vhamilḥamah kabedah vhem loʾ yadʿv kiy-nogaʿat ʿaleyhem haraʿah
