Quedaron para probar a Israel con ellos, para saber si obedecerían los mandamientos del SEÑOR que él ordenó a sus padres por medio de Moisés.
And they were to prove Israel by them, to know whether they would hearken unto the commandments of the LORD, which he commanded their fathers by the hand of Moses.
וַֽיִּהְי֕וּ לְנַסּ֥וֹת בָּ֖ם אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל לָדַ֗עַת הֲיִשְׁמְעוּ֙ אֶת־מִצְוֺ֣ת יְהוָ֔ה אֲשֶׁר־צִוָּ֥ה אֶת־אֲבוֹתָ֖ם בְּיַד־מֹשֶֽׁה׃
vayihyv lnasvot bam ʾet-yishraʾel ladaʿat hayishmʿv ʾet-miṣvot yhvah ʾasher-ṣivah ʾet-ʾabvotam byad-mosheh
