And the children of Israel did evil in the sight of the LORD, and forgat the LORD their God, and served Baalim and the groves.
וַיַּעֲשׂ֨וּ בְנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֤ל אֶת־הָרַע֙ בְּעֵינֵ֣י יְהוָ֔ה וַֽיִּשְׁכְּח֖וּ אֶת־יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹֽהֵיהֶ֑ם וַיַּעַבְד֥וּ אֶת־הַבְּעָלִ֖ים וְאֶת־הָאֲשֵׁרֽוֹת׃
vayaʿasv bney-yishraʾel ʾet-haraʿ bʿeyney yhvah vayishkḥv ʾet-yhvah ʾeloheyhem vayaʿabdv ʾet-habʿaliym vʾet-haʾashervot
