For though I should boast somewhat more of our authority, which the Lord hath given us for edification, and not for your destruction, I should not be ashamed:
So even if I boast somewhat freely about the authority the Lord gave us for building you up rather than tearing you down, I will not be ashamed of it.
Ἐάν τε γὰρ καὶ περισσότερόν τι καυχήσωμαι περὶ τῆς ἐξουσίας ἡμῶν- ἧς ἔδωκεν ὁ Κύριος ἡμῖν εἰς οἰκοδομήν, καὶ οὐκ εἰς καθαίρεσιν ὑμῶν- οὐκ αἰσχυνθήσομαι·
Ean te gar kai perissoteron ti kaychēsōmai peri tēs exoysias ēmōn- ēs edōken o Kyrios ēmin eis oikodomēn, kai oyk eis kathairesin ymōn- oyk aischynthēsomai·
