2 Corinthians 9:5

Anagkaion oyn ēgēsamēn parakalesai toys adelphoys, ina proelthōsin eis ymas, kai prokatartisōsin tēn prokatēggelmenēn eylogian ymōn, taytēn etoimēn einai, oytōs ōs eylogian kai mē ōs pleonexian.
King James Version (KJV)

Therefore I thought it necessary to exhort the brethren, that they would go before unto you, and make up beforehand your bounty, whereof ye had notice before, that the same might be ready, as a matter of bounty, and not as of covetousness.

Modern English

So I thought it necessary to urge the brothers to visit you in advance and finish the arrangements for the generous gift you had promised. Then it will be ready as a generous gift, not as one grudgingly given.
