John 1:42

και ηγαγεν αυτον προς τον ιησουν εμβλεψας δε αυτω ο ιησους ειπεν συ ει σιμων ο υιος ιωνα συ κληθηση κηφας ο ερμηνευεται πετρος
kai ēgagen ayton pros ton iēsoyn emblepsas de aytō o iēsoys eipen sy ei simōn o yios iōna sy klēthēsē kēphas o ermēneyetai petros
King James Version (KJV)

And he brought him to Jesus. And when Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.

Modern English

He brought him to Jesus. Jesus looked at him, and said, “You are Simon the son of Jonah. You shall be called Cephas” (which is by interpretation, Peter).
