John 12:24

αμην αμην λεγω υμιν εαν μη ο κοκκος του σιτου πεσων εις την γην αποθανη αυτος μονος μενει εαν δε αποθανη πολυν καρπον φερει
amēn amēn legō ymin ean mē o kokkos toy sitoy pesōn eis tēn gēn apothanē aytos monos menei ean de apothanē polyn karpon pherei
King James Version (KJV)

Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

Modern English

Most certainly I tell you, unless a grain of wheat falls into the earth and dies, it remains by itself alone. But if it dies, it bears much fruit.
