Matthew 13:6

ηλιου δε ανατειλαντος εκαυματισθη και δια το μη εχειν ριζαν εξηρανθη
ēlioy de anateilantos ekaymatisthē kai dia to mē echein rizan exēranthē

And when the sun was up, they were scorched; and because they had no root, they withered away.

Modern English

When the sun had risen, they were scorched. Because they had no root, they withered away.
