לַמְנַצֵּ֗חַ לְדָוִ֗ד מִזְמ֗וֹר שִֽׁיר׃

KJVTo the chief Musician, A Psalm or Song of David.

To the choirmaster. Of David. A Psalm. A Song.

2

יָק֤וּם אֱלֹהִ֗ים יָפ֣וּצוּ אוֹיְבָ֑יו וְ֝יָנ֗וּסוּ מְשַׂנְאָ֥יו מִפָּנָֽיו׃

KJVLet God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.

God shall arise, his enemies shall be scattered; and those who hate him shall flee before him!

כְּהִנְדֹּ֣ף עָ֭שָׁן תִּנְדֹּ֑ף כְּהִמֵּ֤ס דּ֗וֹנַג מִפְּנֵי אֵ֗שׁ יֹאבְד֥וּ רְשָׁעִ֗ים מִפְּנֵ֣י אֱלֹהִֽים׃

KJVAs smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.

As smoke is driven away, so you shall drive them away; as wax melts before fire, so the wicked shall perish before God!

וְצַדִּיקִ֥ים יִשְׂמְח֗וּ יַ֫עַלְצ֥וּ לִ֭פְנֵי אֱלֹהִ֑ים וְיָשִׂ֥ישׂוּ בְשִׂמְחָֽה׃

KJVBut let the righteous be glad; let them rejoice before God: yea, let them exceedingly rejoice.

But the righteous shall be glad; they shall exult before God; they shall be jubilant with joy!

שִׁ֥ירוּ לֵ֨אלֹהִ֤ים ׀ זַמְּר֣וּ שְׁמ֑וֹ סֹ֤לּ֗וּ לָרֹכֵ֥ב בָּעֲרָב֗וֹת בְּיָ֥הּ שְׁמ֗וֹ וְעִלְז֗וּ לְפָנָֽיו׃

KJVSing unto God, sing praises to his name: extol him that rideth upon the heavens by his name JAH, and rejoice before him.

Sing to God, sing praises to his name; lift up a song to him who rides through the deserts; his name is the LORD; exult before him!

אֲבִ֤י יְתוֹמִ֗ים וְדַיַּ֣ן אַלְמָנ֑וֹת אֱ֝לֹהִ֗ים בִּמְע֥וֹן קָדְשֽׁוֹ׃

KJVA father of the fatherless, and a judge of the widows, is God in his holy habitation.

Father of the fatherless and protector of widows is God in his holy habitation.

אֱלֹהִ֗ים מוֹשִׁ֣יב יְחִידִ֣ים בַּ֑יְתָה מוֹצִ֥יא אֲ֝סִירִ֗ים בַּכּוֹשָׁר֗וֹת אַ֤ךְ סוֹרְרִ֥ים שָׁ֝כְנ֗וּ צְחִיחָֽה׃

KJVGod setteth the solitary in families: he bringeth out those which are bound with chains: but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.

God settles the solitary in a home; he leads out the prisoners to prosperity, but the rebellious dwell in a parched land.

אֱלֹהִ֗ים בְּ֭צֵאתְךָ לִפְנֵ֣י עַמֶּ֑ךָ בְּ֝צַעְדְּךָ֗ בִּישִׁימ֥וֹן סֶֽלָה׃

KJVO God, when thou wentest forth before thy people, when thou didst march through the wilderness; Selah:

O God, when you went out before your people, when you marched through the wilderness, Selah

אֶ֣רֶץ רָ֭עָשָׁה אַף שָׁמַ֣יִם נָטְפ֑וּ מִ֝פְּנֵ֗י אֱלֹהִ֗ים זֶ֗ה סִינַ֗י מִפְּנֵ֗י אֱלֹהִ֗ים אֱלֹהֵ֗י יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

KJVThe earth shook, the heavens also dropped at the presence of God: even Sinai itself was moved at the presence of God, the God of Israel.

the earth quaked, the heavens poured down rain, before God, the One of Sinai, before God, the God of Israel.

גֶּ֣שֶׁם נְ֭דָבוֹת תָּנִ֣יף אֱלֹהִ֑ים נַחֲלָֽתְךָ֥ וְנִלְאָ֗ה אַתָּ֣ה כֽוֹנַנְתָּֽהּ׃

KJVThou, O God, didst send a plentiful rain, whereby thou didst confirm thine inheritance, when it was weary.

Rain in abundance, O God, you shed abroad; you restored your inheritance as it languished;

חַיָּֽתְךָ֗ יָשְׁב֣וּ בָ֑הּ תָּ֘כִ֤ין בְּטוֹבָתְךָ֗ לֶֽעָנִ֗י אֱלֹהִֽים׃

KJVThy congregation hath dwelt therein: thou, O God, hast prepared of thy goodness for the poor.

your flock found a dwelling in it; in your goodness, O God, you provided for the needy.

אֲדֹנָ֗י יִ֫תֶּן אֹ֥מֶר הַֽמְבַשְּׂרוֹת֮ צָבָ֗א רָֽב׃

KJVThe Lord gave the word: great was the company of those that published it.

The Lord gives the word; the women who announce the news are a great host:

13

מַלְכֵ֤י צְבָא֗וֹת יִדֹּד֥וּן יִדֹּד֑וּן וּנְוַת בַּ֝֗יִת תְּחַלֵּ֥ק שָׁלָֽל׃

KJVKings of armies did flee apace: and she that tarried at home divided the spoil.

Kings of armies — they flee, they flee! The women at home divide the spoil —

14

אִם תִּשְׁכְּבוּן֮ בֵּ֪ין הַֽשְּׁפַ֫תַּ֥יִם כַּנְפֵ֣י יוֹנָ֣ה נֶחְפָּ֣ה בַכֶּ֑סֶף וְ֝אֶבְרוֹתֶ֗יהָ בִּירַקְרַ֣ק חָרֽוּץ׃

KJVThough ye have lien among the pots, yet shall ye be as the wings of a dove covered with silver, and her feathers with yellow gold.

though you men lie among the sheepfolds — the wings of a dove covered with silver, its pinions with shimmering gold.

15

בְּפָרֵ֣שׁ שַׁ֭דַּי מְלָכִ֑ים בָּ֝֗הּ תַּשְׁלֵ֥ג בְּצַלְמֽוֹן׃

KJVWhen the Almighty scattered kings in it, it was white as snow in Salmon.

When the Almighty scatters kings there, let snow fall on Zalmon.

16

הַ֥ר אֱלֹהִ֗ים הַ֣ר בָּשָׁ֑ן הַ֥ר גַּבְנֻנִּ֗ים הַ֣ר בָּשָֽׁן׃

KJVThe hill of God is as the hill of Bashan; an high hill as the hill of Bashan.

O mountain of God, mountain of Bashan; O many-peaked mountain, mountain of Bashan!

לָ֭מָּה תְּרַצְּד֣וּן הָרִ֣ים גַּבְנֻנִּ֑ים הָהָ֗ר חָמַ֥ד אֱלֹהִ֗ים לְשִׁבְת֗וֹ אַ֣ף יְהוָ֣ה יִשְׁכֹּ֣ן לָנֶֽצַח׃

KJVWhy leap ye, ye high hills? this is the hill which God desireth to dwell in; yea, the LORD will dwell in it for ever.

Why do you look with hatred, O many-peaked mountain, at the mount that God desired for his abode, yes, where the LORD will dwell forever?

רֶ֤כֶב אֱלֹהִ֗ים רִבֹּתַ֗יִם אַלְפֵ֥י שִׁנְאָ֑ן אֲדֹנָ֥י בָ֝֗ם סִינַ֥י בַּקֹּֽדֶשׁ׃

KJVThe chariots of God are twenty thousand, even thousands of angels: the Lord is among them, as in Sinai, in the holy place.

The chariots of God are twice ten thousand, thousands upon thousands; the Lord is among them; Sinai is now in the sanctuary.

19

עָלִ֣יתָ לַמָּר֣וֹם שָׁבִ֣יתָ שֶּׁ֑בִי לָ֘קַ֤חְתָּ מַתָּנ֣וֹת בָּ֭אָדָ֣ם וְאַ֨ף סוֹרְרִ֗ים לִשְׁכֹּ֥ן יָ֝הּ אֱלֹהִֽים׃

KJVThou hast ascended on high, thou hast led captivity captive: thou hast received gifts for men; yea, for the rebellious also, that the LORD God might dwell among them.

You ascended on high, leading a host of captives in your train and receiving gifts among men, even among the rebellious, that the LORD God may dwell there.

20

בָּר֥וּךְ אֲדֹנָ֗י י֫וֹם ׀ יֽוֹם יַ֫עֲמָס לָ֥נוּ הָאֵ֥ל יְשׁוּעָתֵ֗נוּ סֶֽלָה׃

KJVBlessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our salvation. Selah.

Blessed be the Lord, who daily bears us up; God is our salvation. Selah

21

הָאֵ֥ל לָ֭נוּ אֵ֣ל לְמוֹשָׁע֑וֹת וְ֝לַ֗יהוָה אֲדֹנָ֗י לַמָּ֥וֶת תּוֹצָאֽוֹת׃

KJVHe that is our God is the God of salvation; and unto GOD the Lord belong the issues from death.

Our God is a God of salvation, and to GOD, the Lord, belong deliverances from death.

22

אַ֗ךְ אֱלֹהִ֗ים יִ֭מְחַץ רֹ֣אשׁ אֹיְבָ֑יו קָדְקֹ֥ד שֵׂעָ֗ר מִתְהַלֵּ֥ךְ בַּאֲשָׁמָֽיו׃

KJVBut God shall wound the head of his enemies, and the hairy scalp of such an one as goeth on still in his trespasses.

But God will strike the heads of his enemies, the hairy crown of him who walks in his guilty ways.

23

אָמַ֣ר אֲ֭דֹנָי מִבָּשָׁ֣ן אָשִׁ֑יב אָשִׁ֗יב מִמְּצֻל֥וֹת יָֽם׃

KJVThe Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring my people again from the depths of the sea:

The Lord said: I will bring them back from Bashan, I will bring them back from the depths of the sea,

24

לְמַ֤עַן ׀ תִּֽמְחַ֬ץ רַגְלְךָ֗ בְּ֭דָם לְשׁ֣וֹן כְּלָבֶ֑יךָ מֵ֝אֹיְבִ֗ים מִנֵּֽהוּ׃

KJVThat thy foot may be dipped in the blood of thine enemies, and the tongue of thy dogs in the same.

that you may strike your feet in their blood, that the tongues of your dogs may have their portion from the foe.

25

רָא֣וּ הֲלִיכוֹתֶ֣יךָ אֱלֹהִ֑ים הֲלִיכ֥וֹת אֵ֝לִ֗י מַלְכִּ֥י בַקֹּֽדֶשׁ׃

KJVThey have seen thy goings, O God; even the goings of my God, my King, in the sanctuary.

Your procession is seen, O God, the procession of my God, my King, into the sanctuary —

26

קִדְּמ֣וּ שָׁ֭רִים אַחַ֣ר נֹגְנִ֑ים בְּת֖וֹךְ עֲלָמ֣וֹת תּוֹפֵפֽוֹת׃

KJVThe singers went before, the players on instruments followed after; among them were the damsels playing with timbrels.

the singers in front, the musicians last, between them virgins playing tambourines:

27

בְּמַקְהֵלוֹת֮ בָּרְכ֪וּ אֱלֹ֫הִ֥ים אֲדֹנָ֑י מִ֝מְּק֗וֹר יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃

KJVBless ye God in the congregations, even the Lord, from the fountain of Israel.

Bless God in the great congregation, the LORD, O you who are of Israel's fountain!

28

שָׁ֤ם בִּנְיָמִ֨ן ׀ צָעִ֬יר רֹדֵ֗ם שָׂרֵ֣י יְ֭הוּדָה רִגְמָתָ֑ם שָׂרֵ֥י זְ֝בֻלֽוּן שָׂרֵ֥י נַפְתָּלִֽי׃

KJVThere is little Benjamin with their ruler, the princes of Judah and their council, the princes of Zebulun, and the princes of Naphtali.

There is Benjamin, the least of them, in the lead, the princes of Judah in their throng, the princes of Zebulun, the princes of Naphtali.

29

צִוָּ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֗יךָ עֻ֫זֶּ֥ךָ עוּזָּ֥ה אֱלֹהִ֗ים זוּ פָּ֥עַלְתָּ לָּֽנוּ׃

KJVThy God hath commanded thy strength: strengthen, O God, that which thou hast wrought for us.

Summon your power, O God, the power, O God, by which you have worked for us.

30

מֵהֵיכָלֶ֗ךָ עַ֫ל יְרוּשָׁלָ֥͏ִם לְךָ֣ יוֹבִ֣ילוּ מְלָכִ֣ים שָֽׁי׃

KJVBecause of thy temple at Jerusalem shall kings bring presents unto thee.

Because of your temple at Jerusalem kings shall bear gifts to you.

31

גְּעַ֤ר חַיַּ֨ת קָנֶ֗ה עֲדַ֣ת אַ֭בִּירִים בְּעֶגְלֵ֣י עַמִּ֑ים מִ֝תְרַפֵּ֗ס בְּרַצֵּ֥י כָּֽסֶף בִּזַּ֥ר עַמִּ֗ים קְרָב֗וֹת יֶחְפָּֽצוּ׃

KJVRebuke the company of spearmen, the multitude of the bulls, with the calves of the people, till every one submit himself with pieces of silver: scatter thou the people that delight in war.

Rebuke the beasts that dwell among the reeds, the herd of bulls with the calves of the peoples. Trample underfoot those who lust after tribute; scatter the peoples who delight in war.

32

יֶאֱתָ֣יוּ חַ֭שְׁמַנִּים מִנִּ֣י מִצְרָ֑יִם כּ֘וּשׁ תָּרִ֥יץ יָ֝דָ֗יו לֵֽאלֹהִֽים׃

KJVPrinces shall come out of Egypt; Ethiopia shall soon stretch out her hands unto God.

Nobles shall come from Egypt; Cush shall hasten to stretch out her hands to God.

33

מַמְלְכ֣וֹת הָ֭אָרֶץ שִׁ֣ירוּ לֵאלֹהִ֑ים זַמְּר֖וּ אֲדֹנָ֣י סֶֽלָה׃

KJVSing unto God, ye kingdoms of the earth; O sing praises unto the Lord; Selah:

O kingdoms of the earth, sing to God; sing praises to the Lord, Selah

34

לָ֭רֹכֵב בִּשְׁמֵ֣י שְׁמֵי קֶ֑דֶם הֵ֤ן יִתֵּ֖ן בְּקוֹל֣וֹ ק֣וֹל עֹֽז׃

KJVTo him that rideth upon the heavens of heavens, which were of old; lo, he doth send out his voice, and that a mighty voice.

to him who rides in the heavens, the ancient heavens; behold, he sends out his voice, his mighty voice.

35

תְּנ֤וּ עֹ֥ז לֵֽאלֹהִ֗ים עַל יִ֫שְׂרָאֵ֥ל גַּאֲוָת֑וֹ וְעֻזּ֗וֹ בַּשְּׁחָקִֽים׃

KJVAscribe ye strength unto God: his excellency is over Israel, and his strength is in the clouds.

Ascribe power to God, whose majesty is over Israel, and whose power is in the skies.

36

נוֹרָ֤א אֱלֹהִ֗ים מִ֫מִּקְדָּשֶׁ֥יךָ אֵ֣ל יִ֭שְׂרָאֵל ה֤וּא נֹתֵ֗ן עֹ֥ז וְתַעֲצוּמ֗וֹת לָ֗עָ֣ם בָּר֣וּךְ אֱלֹהִֽים׃

KJVO God, thou art terrible out of thy holy places: the God of Israel is he that giveth strength and power unto his people. Blessed be God.

Awesome is God from his sanctuary; the God of Israel — he is the one who gives power and strength to his people. Blessed be God!
