Y el pueblo que estaba acampado oyó que Zimri había conspirado y que además había matado al rey. Por tanto, todo Israel hizo rey a Omri, general del ejército, sobre Israel aquel mismo día en el campamento.
And the people {that were} encamped heard say, Zimri hath conspired, and hath also slain the king: wherefore all Israel made Omri, the captain of the host, king over Israel that day in the camp.
וַיִּשְׁמַ֤ע הָעָם֙ הַחֹנִ֣ים לֵאמֹ֔ר קָשַׁ֣ר זִמְרִ֔י וְגַ֖ם הִכָּ֣ה אֶת־הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ וַיַּמְלִ֣כוּ כָֽל־יִ֠שְׂרָאֵל אֶת־עָמְרִ֨י שַׂר־צָבָ֧א עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֛ל בַּיּ֥וֹם הַה֖וּא בַּֽמַּחֲנֶֽה׃
vayishmaʿ haʿam haḥoniym leʾmor qashar zimriy vgam hikah ʾet-hamelek vayamlikv kal-yishraʾel ʾet-ʿamriy shar-ṣabaʾ ʿal-yishraʾel bayvom hahvʾ bamaḥaneh
