וַיְהִ֗י כִּשְׁמֹ֙עַ֙ אֶת־הַדָּבָ֣ר הַזֶּ֔ה וְה֥וּא שֹׁתֶ֛ה ה֥וּא וְהַמְּלָכִ֖ים בַּסֻּכּ֑וֹת וַיֹּ֤אמֶר אֶל־עֲבָדָיו֙ שִׂ֔ימוּ וַיָּשִׂ֖ימוּ עַל־הָעִֽיר׃
vayhiy kishmoʿa ʾet-hadabar hazeh vhvʾ shoteh hvʾ vhamlakiym basukvot vayoʾmer ʾel-ʿabadayv shiymv vayashiymv ʿal-haʿiyr

And it came to pass, when {Benhadad} heard this message, as he {was} drinking, he and the kings in the pavilions, that he said unto his servants, Set {yourselves in array}. And they set {themselves in array} against the city. {message: Heb. word} {pavilions: or, tents} {Set yourselves...: or, Place the engines. And they placed the engines}

Modern English

When Ben Hadad heard this message, as he was drinking, he and the kings, in the pavilions, he said to his servants, “Prepare to attack!” They prepared to attack the city.
