Now the Philistines gathered together their armies to battle, and were gathered together at Shochoh, which {belongeth} to Judah, and pitched between Shochoh and Azekah, in Ephesdammim. {Ephesdammim: or, the coast of Dammim, called Pasdammim}
וַיַּאַסְפ֨וּ פְלִשְׁתִּ֤ים אֶת־מַֽחֲנֵיהֶם֙ לַמִּלְחָמָ֔ה וַיֵּאָ֣סְפ֔וּ שֹׂכֹ֖ה אֲשֶׁ֣ר לִיהוּדָ֑ה וַֽיַּחֲנ֛וּ בֵּין־שׂוֹכֹ֥ה וּבֵין־עֲזֵקָ֖ה בְּאֶ֥פֶס דַּמִּֽים׃
vayaʾaspv plishtiym ʾet-maḥaneyhem lamilḥamah vayeʾaspv shokoh ʾasher liyhvdah vayaḥanv beyn-svokoh vbeyn-ʿazeqah bʾepes damiym
