Saúl trató de clavar a David en la pared con la lanza; pero él se apartó de delante de Saúl, y la lanza dio en la pared. David huyó y escapó aquella noche.
And Saul sought to smite David even to the wall with the javelin; but he slipped away out of Saul's presence, and he smote the javelin into the wall: and David fled, and escaped that night.
וַיְבַקֵּ֨שׁ שָׁא֜וּל לְהַכּ֤וֹת בַּֽחֲנִית֙ בְּדָוִ֣ד וּבַקִּ֔יר וַיִּפְטַר֙ מִפְּנֵ֣י שָׁא֔וּל וַיַּ֥ךְ אֶֽת־הַחֲנִ֖ית בַּקִּ֑יר וְדָוִ֛ד נָ֥ס וַיִּמָּלֵ֖ט בַּלַּ֥יְלָה הֽוּא׃
vaybaqesh shaʾvl lhakvot baḥaniyt bdavid vbaqiyr vayipṭar mipney shaʾvl vayak ʾet-haḥaniyt baqiyr vdavid nas vayimaleṭ balaylah hvʾ
