David respondió al sacerdote: «En verdad, las mujeres nos han sido vedadas como de costumbre estos tres días. Cuando salí, los utensilios de los jóvenes eran santos, aunque era un viaje ordinario. ¡Cuánto más hoy serán santos sus utensilios!»
And David answered the priest, and said unto him, Of a truth women {have been} kept from us about these three days, since I came out, and the vessels of the young men are holy, and {the bread is} in a manner common, yea, though it were sanctified this day in the vessel. {yea...: or, especially when this day there is other sanctified in the vessel}
וַיַּ֨עַן הַכֹּהֵ֤ן אֶת־דָּוִד֙ וַיֹּ֔אמֶר אֵֽין־לֶ֥חֶם חֹ֖ל אֶל־תַּ֣חַת יָדִ֑י כִּֽי־אִם־לֶ֤חֶם קֹ֙דֶשׁ֙ יֵ֔שׁ אִם־נִשְׁמְר֥וּ הַנְּעָרִ֖ים אַ֥ךְ מֵאִשָּֽׁה׃
vayaʿan hakohen ʾet-david vayoʾmer ʾeyn-leḥem ḥol ʾel-taḥat yadiy kiy-ʾim-leḥem qodesh yesh ʾim-nishmrv hanʿariym ʾak meʾishah
