Samuel tomó un cordero de leche y lo ofreció entero como holocausto al SEÑOR; clamó al SEÑOR por Israel, y el SEÑOR le respondió.
And Samuel took a sucking lamb, and offered {it for} a burnt offering wholly unto the LORD: and Samuel cried unto the LORD for Israel; and the LORD heard him. {heard: or, answered}
וַיִּקַּ֣ח שְׁמוּאֵ֗ל טְלֵ֤ה חָלָב֙ אֶחָ֔ד ויעלה וַיַּעֲלֵ֧הוּ עוֹלָ֛ה כָּלִ֖יל לַֽיהוָ֑ה וַיִּזְעַ֨ק שְׁמוּאֵ֤ל אֶל־יְהוָה֙ בְּעַ֣ד יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וַֽיַּעֲנֵ֖הוּ יְהוָֽה׃
vayiqaḥ shmvʾel ṭleh ḥalab ʾeḥad vyʿlh vayaʿalehv ʿvolah kaliyl layhvah vayizʿaq shmvʾel ʾel-yhvah bʿad yishraʾel vayaʿanehv yhvah
