Entonces la mujer dijo: «¿Por qué, pues, has pensado semejante cosa contra el pueblo de Dios? Pues al hablar el rey esta cosa, es como si fuera culpable el rey, al no traer a su desterrado.
And the woman said, Wherefore then hast thou thought such a thing against the people of God? for the king doth speak this thing as one which is faulty, in that the king doth not fetch home again his banished.
וַתֹּ֙אמֶר֙ הָֽאִשָּׁ֔ה וְלָ֧מָּה חָשַׁ֛בְתָּה כָּזֹ֖את עַל־עַ֣ם אֱלֹהִ֑ים וּמִדַּבֵּ֨ר הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ הַדָּבָ֤ר הַזֶּה֙ כְּאָשֵׁ֔ם לְבִלְתִּ֛י הָשִׁ֥יב הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ אֶֽת־נִדְּחֽוֹ׃
vatoʾmer haʾishah vlamah ḥashabtah kazoʾt ʿal-ʿam ʾelohiym vmidaber hamelek hadabar hazeh kʾashem lbiltiy hashiyb hamelek ʾet-nidḥvo
