2 Samuel 18:8

וַתְּהִי־שָׁ֧ם הַמִּלְחָמָ֛ה נפצית נָפֹ֖צֶת עַל־פְּנֵ֣י כָל־הָאָ֑רֶץ וַיֶּ֤רֶב הַיַּ֙עַר֙ לֶאֱכֹ֣ל בָּעָ֔ם מֵאֲשֶׁ֥ר אָכְלָ֛ה הַחֶ֖רֶב בַּיּ֥וֹם הַהֽוּא׃
vathiy-sham hamilḥamah npṣyt napoṣet ʿal-pney kal-haʾareṣ vayereb hayaʿar leʾekol baʿam meʾasher ʾaklah haḥereb bayvom hahvʾ

For the battle was there scattered over the face of all the country: and the wood devoured more people that day than the sword devoured. {devoured: Heb. multiplied to devour}
