Pero después que David hubo hecho el censo del pueblo, le pesó en su corazón; y dijo David al SEÑOR: «He pecado gravemente por lo que he hecho; mas ahora, oh SEÑOR, te ruego que quites la iniquidad de tu siervo, porque yo he actuado muy neciamente.»
And David's heart smote him after that he had numbered the people. And David said unto the LORD, I have sinned greatly in that I have done: and now, I beseech thee, O LORD, take away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly.
וַיַּ֤ךְ לֵב־דָּוִד֙ אֹת֔וֹ אַחֲרֵי־כֵ֖ן סָפַ֣ר אֶת־הָעָ֑ם וַיֹּ֨אמֶר דָּוִ֜ד אֶל־יְהוָ֗ה חָטָ֤אתִי מְאֹד֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָשִׂ֔יתִי וְעַתָּ֣ה יְהוָ֔ה הַֽעֲבֶר־נָא֙ אֶת־עֲוֺ֣ן עַבְדְּךָ֔ כִּ֥י נִסְכַּ֖לְתִּי מְאֹֽד׃
vayak leb-david ʾotvo ʾaḥarey-ken sapar ʾet-haʿam vayoʾmer david ʾel-yhvah ḥaṭaʾtiy mʾod ʾasher ʿashiytiy vʿatah yhvah haʿaber-naʾ ʾet-ʿavon ʿabdka kiy niskaltiy mʾod
