Porque tú, oh SEÑOR de los ejércitos, Dios de Israel, revelaste a tu siervo, diciendo: 'Yo te edificaré casa.' Por eso tu siervo ha hallado en su corazón para hacer delante de ti esta oración.
For thou, O LORD of hosts, God of Israel, hast revealed to thy servant, saying, I will build thee an house: therefore hath thy servant found in his heart to pray this prayer unto thee. {revealed: Heb. opened the ear}
כִּֽי־אַתָּה֩ יְהוָ֨ה צְבָא֜וֹת אֱלֹהֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל גָּלִ֜יתָה אֶת־אֹ֤זֶן עַבְדְּךָ֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר בַּ֖יִת אֶבְנֶה־לָּ֑ךְ עַל־כֵּ֗ן מָצָ֤א עַבְדְּךָ֙ אֶת־לִבּ֔וֹ לְהִתְפַּלֵּ֣ל אֵלֶ֔יךָ אֶת־הַתְּפִלָּ֖ה הַזֹּֽאת׃
kiy-ʾatah yhvah ṣbaʾvot ʾelohey yishraʾel galiytah ʾet-ʾozen ʿabdka leʾmor bayit ʾebneh-lak ʿal-ken maṣaʾ ʿabdka ʾet-libvo lhitpalel ʾeleyka ʾet-hatpilah hazoʾt
