«Tú, hijo de hombre, di a los hijos de tu pueblo: 'La justicia del justo no lo librará el día en que peque. Y en cuanto a la maldad del malvado, no caerá por ella el día en que se aparte de su maldad; ni el que es justo podrá vivir por ella el día en que peque.
Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his {righteousness} in the day that he sinneth.
וְאַתָּ֣ה בֶן־אָדָ֗ם אֱמֹ֤ר אֶל־בְּנֵֽי־עַמְּךָ֙ צִדְקַ֣ת הַצַּדִּ֗יק לֹ֤א תַצִּילֶ֙נּוּ֙ בְּי֣וֹם פִּשְׁע֔וֹ וְרִשְׁעַ֤ת הָֽרָשָׁע֙ לֹֽא־יִכָּ֣שֶׁל בָּ֔הּ בְּי֖וֹם שׁוּב֣וֹ מֵֽרִשְׁע֑וֹ וְצַדִּ֗יק לֹ֥א יוּכַ֛ל לִֽחְי֥וֹת בָּ֖הּ בְּי֥וֹם חֲטֹאתֽוֹ׃
vʾatah ben-ʾadam ʾemor ʾel-bney-ʿamka ṣidqat haṣadiyq loʾ taṣiylenv byvom pishʿvo vrishʿat harashaʿ loʾ-yikashel bah byvom shvbvo merishʿvo vṣadiyq loʾ yvkal liḥyvot bah byvom ḥaṭoʾtvo
