Isaiah 40:7

יָבֵ֤שׁ חָצִיר֙ נָ֣בֵֽל צִ֔יץ כִּ֛י ר֥וּחַ יְהוָ֖ה נָ֣שְׁבָה בּ֑וֹ אָכֵ֥ן חָצִ֖יר הָעָֽם׃
yabesh ḥaṣiyr nabel ṣiyṣ kiy rvḥa yhvah nashbah bvo ʾaken ḥaṣiyr haʿam

The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: because the spirit of the LORD bloweth upon it: surely the people {is} grass.

Modern English

The grass withers, the flower fades, because Yahweh’s breath blows on it. Surely the people are like grass.
